Quiche, A Love Poem
Do you want the quiche? he asks,
the leftover piece from Easter brunch,
creamy with Swiss cheese,
savory with bacon and onions,
excellent flaky crust.
I say yes, that would be good.
Later, I understand
his generous offering to my desire.
It would have tasted better in his mouth.
